Finale Decided by Music Control
WULI Showdown: Amway Cup World Breaking Competition enters its fourth-episode finale, as the two teams face off in a music-control final after three episodes on stage charisma, extreme control, and explosive energy. This episode will decide the final MVP spot and reveal the four-episode overall champion. Show promoter Chen Han-dian will join Videoland Sports anchor Wang Zi-yu, professional judges Chen Chen and Xiao B, and key Taiwan breaking-scene DJ Double P to witness the final outcome.
Blind-Box Music Tests Improvisation and Originality
Unlike pre-choreographed stage performances, the most exciting part of a breaking battle is that dancers never know what music comes next. Songs are played randomly on site, and once the music starts there is no second take — you dance to whatever you hear and throw whatever move comes to mind. In this episode, internationally renowned DJ Double P controls the music throughout and serves as the MVP selector for the music-control finale, watching who can quickly grasp the character of unknown melodies and rhythms and respond with the most personal style.
Professional judge Chen Chen noted that solid fundamentals are only the starting point; dancers who truly command the stage must also combine musical understanding, on-the-spot judgment, and an original style. Scoring in this episode will therefore focus more on musicality and originality. Contestants shared that through repeated practice, each move gradually becomes a natural bodily reaction, so they do not need to think about moves during a battle and can free up more attention to listen to the music, capturing rhythm, emotion, and melodic shifts in a short time and turning them into instant responses and creative expression.
Amway Cup to Open in Taipei on November 1
Breaking judge Xiao B said the two teams each have their own strengths, and the key gap in the finale will come down to who can more fully master movement details and skillfully blend personal style with music. As the show reaches its finale, the 2026 TAIPEI BBOY CITY Amway Cup World Breaking Competition will take place on November 1 at the plaza in front of the Taipei New Horizon Building, bringing together top breaking dancers from around the world. Amway Taiwan and Hong Kong President Lin Yen-hsiu said she most looks forward to everyone experiencing the live excitement in person, noting Amway has sponsored breaking for five consecutive years and watched it grow from the streets to a bigger stage. Chen Han-dian will also perform that day with several teachers, and Videoland Sports will broadcast live on TV and YouTube starting at 3 PM.
