Heavyweights Lead, Semiconductor ETFs Shine
Heavyweight and high-price stocks led the advance, with 台積電 up 1%, 聯發科 surging 6.9%, 台達電 up 2.6%, 南亞 jumping 7.2%, 華碩 up 2.1%, 金像電, 創意 and 精測 hitting limit-up, and stock king 信驊 rebounding 7.9%, all strong market indicators. Institutions Focus on AI Demand and Election Rally
Looking ahead, 00904 and 00947 manager 黃鈺民 noted that earlier semiconductor weakness was mainly due to surging US Treasury yields, but with strong US tech earnings, a continued strong outlook for 2027, Tesla CEO 馬斯克 optimistic about robot mass production driving memory demand, and 台積電 confirming strong chip demand at its investor conference, the short-term focus is on AI capex, memory demand and corporate earnings. In the medium to long term, November will bring US midterm elections and Taiwan local elections, and historical experience shows a high probability of pre-election gains. Once uncertainties clear, there remains a chance for a technical rebound, with advice to build positions in semiconductor and IC design ETFs in batches as 台積電 stabilizes at its six-month moving average.
