Analysts Cite Position Adjustment, Warn of Chase-High Risks
Chen Xuejin of Lunyuan Investment Advisory noted that, aided by Anthropic filing for an IPO and Meta's 25 billion US dollar issuance drawing subscriptions exceeding 5 times, plus the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index surging over 3.6% to stand above the 10-day moving average, AI-beneficiary stocks rebounded, covering ASIC, AI servers, PCB, CPO optical communications, power management ICs, thermal solutions, memory, passive components, machine tools and advanced packaging. With support from national funds and ETF inflows, listed companies' combined margin balances fell by over 20.9 billion in two consecutive days, yesterday's foreign institutional selling narrowed to 8.1 billion, and today the index stood back above the quarterly moving average, indicating position adjustment rather than a fundamental reversal.
Rong Yishen of Chifa Investment Advisory said today's intraday low appeared at 10:30, with CPO following the stabilization in U.S. stocks to strengthen, memory暂时 not making new lows, and the Taiwan dollar no longer depreciating, with strengthening groups to watch in early November. In U.S. stocks, the S&P 500 rose for a second straight day, while the Dow Jones rose only about 16 points, dragged down by Boeing's plunge. Analysts reminded that chase-high risks rise after a single-day surge, advising to watch trading volume and the stabilizing strength of TSMC, avoid chasing highs all at once, and build positions in stages.
