Institutional Investors: Diversify Single-Stock Risk Through ETFs
Market institutional investors said they are not pessimistic about the outlook for Taiwan stocks, and as stock picking is difficult for general investors, deploying through Taiwan equity ETFs can effectively diversify single-stock risk and participate in future upside opportunities in Taiwan stocks. The actively managed Taiwan equity ETF research team of Capital Investment Trust said that in addition to fundamentals, Taiwan stocks are mainly influenced by international stock markets and foreign investor movements, but the focus remains on stock picking rather than market timing. Notably, in recent years the AI wave has reshaped Taiwan's industrial structure, with large technology leaders becoming the core of market growth, making the advantages of market-cap-based investing even more prominent.
Aggressive Investors Focus on Active and Market-Cap Types, Steady Investors Rely on High Dividends
The actively managed Taiwan equity ETF research team of Capital Investment Trust recommends that aggressive investors can choose actively managed market-cap Taiwan equity ETFs that flexibly trade strong groups and future growth trends, while steady investors can use high-dividend ETFs, which are relatively resilient, to bring balanced risk benefits to their portfolios. Xu Yuzhi, manager of the Active Capital Core 50, said Taiwan stocks are expected to show stock-picking-rather-than-market-timing performance ahead, and recommended selecting the core top 50 Taiwan stocks along three main themes, including current strong leading stocks with resilient earnings performance, heavyweight would-be high-price trend stocks born under the AI wave, and future leading stocks with business opportunities and themes, to capture Taiwan's core competitiveness strategy in one move.
Focus on Long-Term Momentum in Semiconductors and AI
Xu Yuzhi said that as Taiwan manufacturers play key roles as technology suppliers and component makers across the upstream, midstream and downstream of the global technology chain, including wafer foundry, PCBCCL, packaging and testing, and power supplies, they are expected to continue to benefit. He suggested investors can capture the rally through actively managed Taiwan equity ETFs whose stock picks cover current market-cap leaders and quality high-price stocks with both earnings and competitiveness, as well as future leading stocks with strong themes and potential growth momentum. Xie Mingzhi, manager of the Capital Semiconductor Income and Capital Taiwan Select High Dividend ETFs, said that in terms of investment deployment, investors can focus on industry leaders with sound fundamentals and moat advantages,把握 long-term AI growth momentum, and continue to monitor the AI technology iteration cycle to position early for short-term thematic breakout opportunities. He remains optimistic on semiconductor advanced processes, semiconductor equipment, and telecommunications groups, and is also optimistic on AI applications and productivity-enhancing groups. Taiwan stock fundamentals are well supported, and in the long run, every pullback is a good opportunity to deploy for medium- to long-term growth.
