26 Funds Hit Record Beneficiary Numbers
In terms of single-fund changes, a total of 26 Taiwan equity ETFs including 00415A, 00406A, 0050, 00919, 00927, 0056, 00985A saw beneficiary numbers hit new highs simultaneously. Overall, active, market-cap-based, and high-dividend ETFs remain relatively popular. Market institutions said the outlook for Taiwan equities remains positive, and as stock picking is difficult for retail investors, investing through Taiwan equity ETFs can effectively diversify single-stock risk while participating in future upside opportunities.
Institutions: Focus on Leaders Through Stock Picking Over Market Timing
The active Taiwan equity ETF research team at Capital Investment Trust said that in addition to fundamentals, Taiwan equities are still largely influenced by international markets and foreign investor flows, with the key remaining stock picking over market timing. In recent years, the AI wave has reshaped Taiwan's industrial structure, with large technology leaders becoming the core of market growth, further highlighting the advantage of market-cap investing. Aggressive investors may consider actively managed market-cap Taiwan equity ETFs with flexible exposure to strong sectors and future growth, while conservative investors can use high-dividend ETFs for resilience to balance portfolio risk.
Optimistic on Semiconductor and AI Growth Momentum
Active Capital Core 50 manager 許育誌 said Taiwan equities are expected to show stock-picking-driven performance ahead, recommending three themes to select the core Taiwan 50: currently strong leading stocks with resilient earnings, heavyweight trending quasi-thousand-dollar stocks born from the AI wave, and future leaders with business opportunities and themes. Taiwan manufacturers play key roles as technology suppliers and component makers across the upstream, midstream and downstream of the global technology chain, including wafer foundry, PCB CCL, packaging and testing, and power supplies, and are expected to continue to benefit.
Capital Semiconductor Income and Capital Taiwan Select High Dividend ETF manager 謝明志 said investors can focus on industry leaders with solid fundamentals and moat advantages, capture long-term AI growth momentum, and continue to monitor the AI technology iteration cycle to position early for short-term thematic breakouts. He remains optimistic on advanced semiconductor manufacturing, semiconductor equipment, and communications groups, as well as AI applications and productivity-enhancing groups. With Taiwan fundamentals supported, in the long run, every pullback is an opportunity to build mid- to long-term growth positions.
