Taiwan stocks rebound 939 points to recover quarterly line
After plunging over 3200 points cumulatively in the previous two weeks, Taiwan stocks staged a strong rebound on the 28th, closing up 939.35 points at 47035.58, up 2.04%, retaking the quarterly line at about 46398 points and the 47000 integer mark. The three major institutional investors posted combined net buying of 298.94億元, and the number of high-priced stocks priced over 1,000 yuan rose to 49. Market confidence recovered in tandem with the index, though some analysts reminded that the market-wide margin balance remains above 6000億元, chips still need to be digested, and the short term may still move higher gradually in a volatile consolidation pattern.
杜金龍 sees 2027 up to 60,000 points
According to media reports, senior analyst 杜金龍 stressed that the short-term correction does not mean the end of the bull market, and maintained the view that Taiwan stocks are expected to challenge 53000 to 60000 points in 2027. 和碩 Chairman 童子賢 also pointed out that if 台積電 earnings per share exceed 100 yuan this year, based on the current share price of over 2400 yuan, the P/E ratio is only about 20 times, and long-term fundamentals remain healthy. Based on the closing price on the 28th, Taiwan stocks are about 6.3% away from 50000 points.
Top ten active ETFs all close higher
According to CMoney statistics, as of October 28, all of the top ten active ETFs by domestic size, including Taiwan-stock and cross-border types, closed higher, with an average gain of about 3.6%, of which 9 rose more than the broader market's 2.04%. The Active Fuhua Future 50 managed by 呂宏宇, namely 00991A, rose 4.62% on the 28th, about 2.26 times the broader market gain. Among all active ETFs covering Taiwan-stock and cross-border types, 00991A was the top gainer among the 4 with size over 500億元, also higher than the 4.56% of 全台 largest active 統一 Taiwan stock growth 00981A. Among the top ten by size 大中, Active Capital Tech Innovation 00992A led with 4.80%, with 00991A ranking second. With size reaching 714億元, 00991A still maintained a gain leading the broader market, also answering market doubts about the operational flexibility of large active ETFs.
AI supply chain leads oversold rebound
Of the 50 holdings held by 00991A, 39 closed higher on the 28th, of which 景碩 hit the daily limit, 南亞科 surged 8.16%, and AI supply chain stocks such as 聯發科, 台光電, 健策 and 信驊 rose sharply in tandem. 00991A's PCB, ABF substrate and copper-clad laminate-related holdings total about 30%, with additional allocations to memory and thermal solution groups. Institutional investors pointed out that tight supply and demand for DRAM and high-end ABF substrates is expected to continue into 2027, and related industry fundamentals remain supported. The correction in the previous two weeks mainly came from short-term chip adjustments, not a reversal in AI industry demand, and as AI investment extends from model training to inference applications, high-end PCB, memory and thermal supply chains still have growth momentum. Looking ahead to the fourth quarter through the first quarter of 2027, year-end book-closure by institutional investors and corporate earnings growth expectations are expected to add momentum to Taiwan stocks.
