Split Plan and Voting Schedule
Fubon SIT announced on October 22, 2026 that 006208 will hold a beneficiaries' meeting in writing on December 18 to vote on the split proposal. The split ratio will be determined by the NAV on the meeting date, using the largest integer multiple that keeps the post-split NAV at or above the NT$30 offering price. Based on the October 22 NAV of NT$243.76, the estimated ratio is about 1-for-8, already close to the 1-for-8 lower bound of NT$240.
If the NAV falls below NT$240 before the meeting due to the November ex-dividend or a market pullback, the ratio could drop to 1-for-7; if the NAV rises above NT$270, it could be adjusted to 1-for-9. If approved, the entry threshold per board lot is expected to fall from over NT$200,000 to around NT$30,000, with investors' total market value unchanged. After approval, FSC approval is still required, followed by announcements of the trading suspension period and the resumed trading date. If rejected, the existing units and price will continue trading unchanged.
Voting Eligibility and Dividend Highlights
Investors holding 006208 on the November 18 record date for the register closure can vote. As Taiwan stocks settle on T+2, purchases must be made by November 16 at the latest. Fubon SIT will mail meeting notices starting November 26. Investors can vote in writing or via TDCC ePassbook or through their brokerage trading app linked to the TDCC e-voting platform. The e-voting period is from November 27 to December 15. The proposal requires attendance representing more than half of beneficiary units, with more than half of attending voting rights in favor to pass.
The latest dividend of 006208 is NT$4.75 per share, a record high since listing, sourced entirely from capital gains rather than component-stock dividends, reflecting gains from the strong Taiwan stock rally. 006208 pays dividends semi-annually, with ex-dividend in July and November each year. The most recent was July 16, 2026, while the November amount and ex-dividend date are subject to Fubon SIT's announcement. After the split, per-share dividends will shrink proportionally while units increase proportionally, leaving total payouts unchanged, so comparisons must be adjusted to the same basis.
Differences From 0050 and Holdings
006208 and 0050 both track the Taiwan 50 Index, hold the same components, and apply the same tiered management-fee and custody-fee rules. The management fee ranges from 0.05% to 0.15%, estimated at about 0.11% based on scale on October 22, 2026, while the custody fee ranges from 0.025% to 0.03%. On a NT$1 million investment, annual management costs are about 1410 yuan for 006208 versus about NT$950 for 0050, a difference of about NT$460, mainly because 0050, with about NT$2.5 trillion in scale, mostly applies the lowest tier. The split does not change fee rates, but a lower threshold that grows scale could help qualify for lower rates. 0050 completed a 1-for-4 split in 2025 and trades at about NT$107, while 006208 trades at about NT$245, with dividend months in January and July versus July and November respectively.
006208 mainly uses full replication, supplemented by optimization, investing no less than 90% of net assets in component stocks. Its components are the top 50 Taipei-listed companies by market value, with TSMC weighing over 50%. The index undergoes quarterly reviews on the second Friday of March, June, September, and December, with an annual liquidity review in March, and changes take effect on the trading day after the third Friday of the month. Its strength is single-fund exposure to large-cap leaders, suitable for long-term dollar-cost averaging, while its weakness is heavy concentration in the semiconductor industry.
