Taiwan Stocks Pull Back After Hitting 46949 Points as 00406A Tops Volume
Taiwan's weighted index surged 853.75 points, or 1.85%, intraday on the 28th to hit 46949.98 points. As of 11:14, gains narrowed to 684.68 points, or 1.49%, at 46780.91 points. The most-watched listing was the third-largest actively managed ETF by scale, Active CTBC Taiwan Income (00406A), associated with Chuan Tai. After its share price fell below the 9 yuan mark yesterday on 127萬 lots of volume, its popularity continued today, with volume already exceeding 25萬 lots to top all ETFs.
Further intraday performance showed Active CTBC Taiwan Income (00406A) rose 0.28 yuan, or 3.17%, to 9.11 yuan, with volume reaching 25萬6865 lots, ranking first among ETFs. After falling below 9 yuan yesterday, it stood at 9.11 yuan today, up over 3%.
Top Five ETFs by Volume All Higher as Foreign Investors Trimmed Active ETFs Yesterday
The other top five ETFs by intraday volume also rose. Capital Taiwan Weighted 2x (00685L) rose 0.38 yuan, or 3.23%, to 12.13 yuan, with volume of 11萬7608 lots. Yuanta Taiwan 50 2x (00631L) rose 1.02 yuan, or 2.87%, to 36.62 yuan, with volume of 7萬4673 lots. Active Uni-President Taiwan Stock Growth (00981A) rose 0.96 yuan, or 3.5%, to 28.36 yuan, with volume of 7萬4368 lots. Active Uni-President Upgrade 50 (00403A) rose 0.3 yuan, or 3.04%, to 10.16 yuan, with volume of 6萬9583 lots.
