Tainan Mayor 黃偉哲 noted that materials technology is an important foundation for the development of forward-looking industries such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, net-zero energy, biomedical technology and advanced manufacturing. The annual meeting brings together experts and industry representatives from around the World, which not only promotes international scientific exchange but also allows international partners to better understand Tainan's technological industry capabilities.
Linking STSP and Shalun to Strengthen Local Innovation Ecosystem
Tainan Deputy Mayor 姜淋煌 said Tainan has actively promoted technology industry development in recent years. In addition to the Southern Taiwan Science Park which has formed a complete high-tech industrial cluster, the Shalun area is gradually becoming an important development base for artificial intelligence, smart robotics and green energy technology, and the city government continues to improve the investment environment to assist enterprises in setting up and expanding investment. Economic Development Bureau Director 張婷媛 said Tainan has a complete semiconductor and manufacturing base, and is deploying in AI, smart manufacturing, green energy and other fields. This conference combines a materials technology industry exhibition and industry-academia exchange, helping accelerate the implementation of innovative technologies. The city government is also cooperating with the central government's "Greater Southern Silicon Valley Promotion Plan" to develop the Shalun Smart Green Energy Science City and link it with STSP, improving the innovation ecosystem from research and talent cultivation to industrial application.
